Employee of the Month - September

Student: Adrian O.
Company: Catholic Charities
Supervisor: Caroline Ocamp

It has been a true pleasure to work with and mentor Adrian. He starts every single day with a formal greeting, big smile, and can-do attitude! Adrian consistently brings a positive attitude to the office. And it’s been contagious! He offers his helping hand in a number of diverse projects for both the Communications & Public Affairs department and the Older Adult Services division. No job or task has been too big or too small for him! Adrian’s professionalism at the workplace has been consistent. From the very first day at Catholic Charities, Adrian was willing to learn about our programs and was very open to meeting many members of our diverse staff teams. He showed sincere interest in people, their work, and asked appropriate questions that helped him understand the role of our agency in the community. Adrian was also there for his Cristo Rey student team/peers by orienting them to the office and supporting them on new tasks. He also has the ability to coordinate projects from start to finish. Repeatedly, Adrian approached his projects enthusiastically–whether it was preparing hundreds of press packets, researching data on our website, assisting on our community affairs program CreaTV set, or copying materials for presentations. Jobs were completed with care and perfectionism!“It felt good to have someone so young be a member of our staff team, and I was so pleased to see his commitment to doing it (projects) right!,” said Caroline Ocampo, Chief of Communications & Public Affairs. “His fantastic attitude in the office setting is a testament to Cristo Rey’s student support and training that prepares students to be workplace ready.”Adrian is genuinely committed to making a difference! He took the time to understand the social services work that we do. Through multiple staff exchanges, you can see that he connected with the impact our work can make in someone’s life. Adrian says he wants to be a police officer when he gets older. You can already see that his deep willingness to help and great attitude are traits that will help him reach his future goals!
