About Irene Castillon
Ms. Irene Castillon was born and raised in southern California. She is the proud daughter of immigrants from Mexico and a proud first-generation college graduate. She attended Brown University for her undergraduate studies, Master and teaching credential from Stanford University, and her administrative credential from San José State University.
Irene entered education to advocate for equity, tolerance, and justice. At the center of Irene's practice are relationships; throughout her educational career as a teacher and administrator in schools around the Bay Area, she has grown and learned alongside her greatest teachers--her students.
Irene is excited to learn alongside the Cristo Rey San José community and leading by example in a community in which she feels such a close connection.
