About Anthony Pineda
Anthony has been in education for over ten years, pushing the boundaries of learning and developing ways for engaging diverse student populations. This year he has taken up the role of Hip-hop Music and Production teacher, leading a new class for Cristo Rey San José. Anthony studied at UC Davis where he developed his understanding for cultural studies and psychology. Anthony has been conducting research and developing curriculum in SIlicon Valley for over seven years and believes firmly in the healing power of Hip-hop culture. Anthony's graduate studies focused on culture in education and he continues to provide this unique approach in education and the field of mental health. Anthony values growth, integrity, and empowerment. He hopes to provide the students with a deeper understanding of the culture and themselves while they experience creativity through music.
