About Cynthia Lum

Ms. Lum was born at El Camino Hospital and raised in Mountain View, CA. She currently lives in San Jose. She completed a BA degree in Psychology and Behavioral Science, minor in Business from San Jose State University.

Ms. Lum worked as a Realtor for eight years when her children were young. As a realtor, she helped many people become homeowners. She has worked as a Life Skills Advocate/Case Manager at Next Door - Solutions to Domestic Violence. Ms. Lum helped mothers and children who are survivors of domestic violence. She also worked at Health Advocates as the on-site Case Manager at Stanford Hospital. She assisted patients who were uninsured or underinsured to obtain health insurance so they could continue to receive treatment.  

Her hobbies include yoga/dance/hip hop, arts and crafts, and creating colorful greeting cards. She likes listening to music in Spanish and English. Ms. Lum also enjoys watching TV and cuddling with her chihuahua, Travi. 

Her mother emigrated from Mexico and her father’s family is from China. She speaks Spanish fluently and has traveled all over Mexico. She is a first-generation college graduate. It took her about 23 years to complete my college degree. She wishes that there had been a Cristo Rey high school. It would have helped her in so many ways. She feels blessed to work at Cristo Rey where we will help many students reach their goals and achieve success.
