A group of 5 Cristo Rey San Jose students had the opportunity to travel to Washington D.C. for the Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice (IFTJ) this month. The IFTJ is an annual gathering for the greater Jesuit family (including schools, institutions, and churches) to come together in the context of social justice and solidarity to learn, reflect, pray, network, and advocate together.
They had a really meaningful experience being in our Nation's capitol, especially this week. They felt inspired by the speakers at the Teach-In, like Fr. Greg Boyle, and found comfort in knowing that 2,000 people care as much as we do about social justice, solidarity, and improving our country and world.
