This last Saturday the Social Justice club met to pass out sleeping bags, tents, food, clothing, water, and toiletries to the homeless in St. James Park. They worked with an organization called "Sleeping Bags for the Homeless of Silicon Valley," which is an all-volunteer, nonprofit effort to collect and distribute sleeping bags, blankets, tents, tarps, water and other supplies to the homeless in Silicon Valley in California. The Social Justice Club at Cristo Rey San Jose is a group of students committed to working towards equality and justice for all. Their motto is "It is not enough to be compassionate, you must ACT!" We are so proud of our students who are promoting a just society through challenging injustices in our community, and around the world.
