The mission and culture of the Cristo Rey San Jose school community strives to promote the gospel values that Jesus demonstrated through his ministry. As a Catholic Jesuit school, we respond to the call of St. Ignatius of Loyola to offer an education that extends to the mind, heart, body, and soul. Jesus' life and the experiences of St. Ignatius call and challenge every member of the Cristo Rey community to respond to the needs of others, especially the poor and marginalized, through works of service. Through opportunities for education, direction, reflection, prayer, community building, and advocacy, students will make progress toward the goals established by the Grad at Grad statement and grow in commitment to a faith that does justice. We believe that this helps create intelligent, caring, academically prepared leaders who understand the value of community, the importance of being committed to justice, and the rewards that come from giving of oneself.
