Cristo Rey San Jose Day of Silence

On April 21st we recognized the silence that many of our LGBTQ brothers and sisters feel every day… that is, silence.  People who are LGBTQ often feel like they cannot be their true selves and express what they feel because they fear they will experience discrimination and marginalization.  One only has to turn on the news, or look online, to see examples of how the dignity of those who are LGBTQ is often violated. At the end of the day, a guest speaker from the LGBT Community came to share their experience, strength and hope with all our students.

Cristo Rey San Jose does not discriminate on the basis of race color, national or ethnic origin, gender, sexual orientation, or religion.   What that means for students is this: Cristo Rey San Jose is committed to providing a learning environment free from discrimination, harassment, intimidation and bullying.  There will be no tolerance for any student, faculty member, staff member, or any other member of our community being negatively treated because of who they are.
